Parent Involvement

  

At Mackay Christian College we invite parents to be as involved as they would like and are able to be in their children’s education. Parents provide great support with reading groups, on camps and excursions, and in a wide variety of classroom activities. 
 
The College sees its community as a family and acknowleges parents as having prime responsibility for the education of their children.   
 
There is no doubt that parental involvement in the classroom and in sporting and cultural activities has a positive impact on learning.     
 
Mackay Christian College’s ‘Friends of the College’ provides a vehicle for parent involvement in College activities. Through the ‘Friends of the College’ parents can provide valuable assitance in events such as Open Day, Founders Day and Grandparents Day.
